GEST Terms of Service – Savannah Community Rides
We’re here to make local transportation simple, affordable, and community-focused. Please read the following to understand how GEST works:
Service Overview
- GEST is a community-based rideshare service for Savannah visitors and residents.
- Each ride costs $5.00 per one-way trip, up to 5 passengers per trip.
- Payments are made at the destination by credit card or cash.
- Rides must be scheduled by telephone reservation at (912) 813-8510.
- During business hours, rides can be hailed down from the street, like a traditional taxi service.
- Phone-first reservations: At this time, rides can only be booked by phone. The GEST app will launch in Savannah here in the coming weeks, but we want to start by building something more personal. By speaking with you directly, we can create a sense of trust, connection, and community as we grow this service together. Our goal is not just to provide rides, but to reconnect neighbors with one another and ensure every rider feels cared for before we introduce app-based booking.

Service Rules
- Rides are one-way only; each trip requires a new booking/payment.
- Please be ready at your pick-up location at the scheduled time.
- Drivers may wait up to 5 minutes before moving on to their next passenger.
- All passengers must wear a seatbelt for safety and insurance purposes.
- Disruptive behavior is not allowed. If a passenger creates an unsafe or hostile environment, the driver may end the ride immediately and ask the passenger to leave the vehicle.
